Journey to Faith: Steve & Laurie's Baptism Stories

At Crosspoint, baptisms are particularly exciting because they showcase the transformative power of the gospel in people's lives. Each individual gets to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through immersion in water, making it one of the most thrilling aspects of our ministry.

An integral part of our baptism service is the testimony. This video features the inspiring stories of Steve and Laurie, who both grew up in Roman Catholic backgrounds but had not yet truly experienced the gospel.

Steve shares his journey from a religious upbringing without a true understanding of Christ to a transformative encounter with the gospel on a construction site, thanks to a persistent pastor named Bill. Laurie's story follows her path from a similar Catholic upbringing, through the pain of losing her father, to finally understanding the gospel through the persistent efforts of a woman named Tracy.

Both Steve and Laurie eventually embraced Jesus as their Savior and decided to publicly testify their faith through baptism. Their stories are a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of the gospel and the importance of sharing one's faith.
